Dawn of War II open beta.

Posted in Games, Literature, Technology, Web on January 28th, 2009 by Charlie

For those of you that don’t know, Dawn of War is an ongoing video game series by THQ and Relic, based on the pile of fluff provided by the Games Workshop Warhammer 40,000 franchise.

“The Warhammer 40,000 game world is most readily characterized as a gothic science-fantasy setting. The central and most popular elements of the Warhammer 40k universe are the Space Marines, futuristic versions of fantasy knights and the finest warriors of the Imperium of Mankind, a dystopian and degenerate galaxy-spanning civilization” – Lexicanum

If you follow the link to Lexicanum you’ll arrive on the page for the background and story of the W40K Universe.

The beta is downloadable for those of you with steam installed here

If you want to play feel free to add me on steam (charlietizard) or live (PR1ZEFIGHTER).

Photo-a-Day: Monday

Posted in Games, Life, Literature on January 27th, 2009 by Charlie

Here’s Mondays picture. Taken in New Milton, UK.

Monday

Not perticularly happy with it, but it was a busy day. However, I did win a game of scene-it on XBox360, mainly because all of the other players had no clue about film quotes.

Finish these quotes:

Soylent Green is ______

I love the smell of napalm in the morning. You know, one time we had a hill bombed, for 12 hours. When it was all over, I walked up. We didn’t find one of ‘em, not one stinkin’ dink body. The smell, you know that gasoline smell, the whole hill. Smelled like… _________

So yeah, I won that.

Embarking on a new project!

Posted in Life, Literature on January 25th, 2009 by Charlie

I’ve decided to try doing a “photo a day” for the next week, as well as write a weekly update on this blog.
I’ll be starting both tomorrow, the photo should be posted sometime tomorrow, and the weekly update will arrive every sunday.

Some might think this is a dummy post.

I like nonsense, it wakes up the brain cells. Fantasy is a necessary ingredient in living, It’s a way of looking at life through the wrong end of a telescope. Which is what I do, And that enables you to laugh at life’s realities.
